Black star. A retroprospective of the work of Eugenia Martínez and other feminist women artists is an anthological and retroospective publication on the work of the artist Eugenia Martínez (Monterrey, Mexico, 1976). For 25 years, the artist has dedicated herself to interweaving images with texts to "highlight structures of oppression and power that come from the past." In her work she has recorded the path that contemporary feminist struggles have followed in Mexico, as well as the influences that global feminisms have on them and the intersections with the problems of race and socioeconomic condition. The book also includes conversations with other women who come from literature, such as Clyo Mendoza, Mirna Roldán; of activisms such as Ana Victoria Jiménez and Mariana García, as well as the anthropologist Ariadna Ramonetti, and art historians Karen Cordero and Mariana Rubio.
